Phrases from your own content
Run a scan to build an anchor list from post titles and tags. You can also add your own phrase and choose its destination by searching a title.
Links without rewriting posts
Matching phrases become direct links when the article is displayed. The saved text stays unchanged; deactivating the plugin removes its automatic links.
Control where links appear
Set a limit of 1–5 links per page, choose the link colour and exclude posts, categories or tags. A switch in the editor lets you leave an individual article untouched.
How the workflow fits together
- Install the plugin and open Tools → Smart Linking. Start the scan to collect phrases from your existing posts.
- Review anchors and destinations, choose your per-page limit and exclusions, and add manual phrases where useful.
- Open a published article and check its links in context. Keep only connections that help the reader.
What you need
You need a WordPress site with published content and administrator access to install the plugin. Linking runs locally: no AI provider, API key or paid generation is required.

Will it link every matching phrase?
No. The per-page limit applies, and each destination is linked at most once per page. Drafts, private content and deleted posts are not destinations.
Does it improve my Google ranking automatically?
Internal links can help readers and search engines navigate related material. They do not guarantee indexing, rankings or traffic, and cannot replace useful content.
Can it work alongside Agent Linking SP?
When Agent Linking SP takes over, the free plugin pauses its linking and scanning to avoid duplicate links. Before resuming, it refreshes and checks its anchor list; a failed refresh keeps links off and shows what needs attention.
