Choose a home for your first site
For a first blog or a small business site, look for a Hostinger hosting offer that supports WordPress. Think about what you need today: one website, room for your pictures and a way to get help.
Before paying, compare the full initial bill, the length of that paid period, the renewal price and what happens to any included domain after the offer ends. Check the current details on Hostinger; offers can change.
Create the WordPress website
In Hostinger, open Websites → Create website → WordPress. Set the admin language, email and a strong password. You can then build with AI or start with a blank WordPress site. After setup, open WP Admin. Hostinger’s setup guide.

Three AI options, explained simply
Hostinger Agent is the assistant in Hostinger. It can guide setup and help with supported website tasks. Some requests use separate Agent credits; support and account-setup requests have different charging rules. Check Agent credit rules.
AI Website Builder for WordPress prepares a WordPress site from your description. You review its pages, design and content. Choose the WordPress route if you want to install AgentWP plugins. This is distinct from Hostinger’s other AI Builder platform. WordPress builder guide.
An external AI assistant through MCP is an optional connection, not a requirement for your first site. Hostinger’s documented WordPress MCP setup requires Business or Cloud hosting, the active Hostinger AI Plugin and a compatible client. Available actions depend on that connection and its permissions. You can use AgentWP on a compatible WordPress site with another hosting provider. Before choosing a plan, confirm that the specific AI tool you want is included in your current offer; hosting, Agent credits and an external AI subscription may be separate costs. Guidance checked 12 October 2026.
Give your website an address
Use a domain you own, register a new one or start on a temporary address while you decide. A domain bought elsewhere needs to be connected to the hosting. After a connection change, Hostinger says to allow up to 24 hours for it to reach everyone. Hostinger’s domain guidance.
Pick a name that is easy to say and type. Imagine telling it to a friend, then check that you both spell it the same way.
Choose a look that feels like you
A WordPress theme provides the starting design. Browse themes under Appearance → Themes and activate one that fits your site. About themes.
With a block theme, Appearance → Editor lets you adjust the site visually, including its styles and navigation. The available editing tools depend on the theme. Using the Site Editor.
Keep the first version simple: readable text, one main colour and a clear way to contact you. Open it on your phone before spending time on extra decoration.

Add WordPress plugins for the help you need
A WordPress plugin adds a feature to your existing site. Find directory plugins under Plugins → Add New, install one and activate it. For a ZIP supplied by a plugin maker, use Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, install and activate. Read its requirements first. WordPress plugin instructions.

A few questions before you begin
Do I need to know programming?
This route uses the hosting setup screens and WordPress’s visual editing tools. You will still make choices, write your pages and review the result, but the steps above do not ask you to write code.
Is the whole website free?
Budget for hosting and a domain. Themes, plugins or other services may have their own charges. Check what your chosen offer includes and what renews separately. How long will it take?
Set aside up to an hour for the first steps: describe your idea, start the WordPress setup and review the first pages suggested by the AI agent. Can I add more pages and plugins later?
Yes. Start with a clear purpose and add features when you have a use for them. You do not need to choose your site’s entire future on the first day.
